"Cultural Arts Boosts Noblesville's Quality of LIfe."

Recently, Noblesville was ranked 10th in the nation as the best place
to raise your family. This honor was based on standard of living,
education, lifestyle, health, safety and nearby neighborhoods. The
nationally known authors of “Best Places to Raise Your Family, 1st edition”
noted Noblesville as the classic Midwest community with a real downtown
courthouse square looking like a Norman Rockwell painting It’s the small
town feeling with friendly people that sealed the selection. In a section of
the book called lifestyles, the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission is
singled out as adding to the quality of life for all the community. There are
many organizations in Noblesville and hundreds of volunteers working
everyday making our community so special; however, to see “our”
organization mentioned was a pleasant surprise.

In the pages of the book describing Noblesville, the mention of the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission made me very proud of our board and volunteers. Our organization, founded in 1992, has a super, dedicated, hardworking board that provides artful opportunities to all in the community, free of charge. Over 1500 5th graders attended our “Law Day” production sharing how the judicial system works using a play and familiar children’s story to grab the students’ attention. June, July and August concert series in Seminary Park attracted over 1200 attendee’s, mostly seniors. In more than 14 seasons, this year's, “Shakespeare in the Park” was one of the best yet. In spite of one rainy performance, folks and families came from all around just to have the experience of the arts in small town America. We helped with the “Art Fair on the Square” this summer with an estimated 3000 folks enjoying art and a beautiful day in the Historic Downtown Noblesville. www.bestplaces.net
